Laboratorios Rivas began its operations on May 15, 1958 when its founder, Mr. Gilberto Rivas Valdez, began the production of glitters with an investment in equipment of just RD$4.50 (equivalent to US$4.50). Nowadays, Laboratorios Rivas has the most modern equipment for the elaboration of hair products and cosmetics. Together with a strict quality control, they ensure that the products meet the highest standards of the national and international market. The formulas are the result of 50 years of experience in the production of high quality products. The main brands manufactured are Avanti, Silicon Mix, and Dixie Peach. Today its president, Mr. Sigmundo Rivas Puello foresees a great growth of the company and highlights the great acceptance that its products have had not only in our country, but also abroad. The products are currently exported to the United States, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Aruba, Haiti, Saint Martin, the Netherlands, France, Trinidad and Tobago, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, and other countries. Currently, Laboratorios Rivas has more than 100 employees and uses high quality containers, plastic lids, labels and boxes in the local market, thus cooperating with national growth. Last January, Laboratorios Rivas certified its products with the Quality Assurance Seal. This seal is endorsed by the Dominican Cluster of Beauty Products and the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic, an Association of which the company has been a member for more than 50 years. This seal certifies that the products meet the highest quality standards, thus complying with good manufacturing practices and ensuring product quality.
