The foundations of Hakimcı were laid in 1978 with the first store opened by Emir Hakimcı and his brother on men's shirts in Osmanbey, Istanbul. In those days when the ready-to-wear sector in Turkey was just beginning to form, pastel colors, which are considered unusual in Turkey even though they are highly appreciated in Europe, attract the attention of female customers in a short time. This interest was further increased in 1988 when the women's collection was presented for the first time in Hakimcı stores.
