SUNTAT is a family-owned company based in Mannheim Neckarau and headquartered in the Rhine-Neckar region. The company was founded in 1986 as a retail company by Halil, Mustafa, Muharrem, Ali and Kadir Baklan, the sons of the Baklan family. Today, SUNTAT is still active worldwide as an international group of companies with 30 family members. A total of 1,800 people are employed in the fourteen companies of the group, one hundred of them at the Mannheim site.
