It all started in Barcelona during the 1910s, when our founder Isaac Carasso identified that Spanish children suffered from stomach infections and decided to popularize yogurt; aware of its benefits when seeing various research on this. So Isaac Carasso decided to create Danone yogurt, in honor of his newborn son Daniel, nicknamed Danon.
